The TH880A is provided with an automatic test mode and a single cycle test mode. In the automatic mode the tester cycles through and error checks each lighting circuit. In the single cycle mode, the tester is manually cycled through each circuit. In either mode the tester checks for an open or shorted circuit fault condition. If the tester finds a fault, it will stop on the faulted circuit, indicate and alarm the condition. A fault by-pass control is provided to by-pass the automatic stop and alarm condition for detailed troubleshooting.

The TH880A is also provided with a step saving remote UHF RF transmitter. The remote control allows you to operate the tester from a remote location, such as the rear of the trailer. Both auto-cycle or single-cycle light control may be selected at the transmitter. The transmitter has a control range of approximately 30 meters (about 100 ft). Test control may be done either at the tester control panel or at the transmitter. Transfer of test control is automatic simply by operation of test controls at either location. To test a Tractor/Trailer you simply plug in the TH880A to 115VAC or 12VDC, plug the light connector and grab the remote control and start testing. It’s that easy, in seconds you have the trailer checked out.
